Life’s a Beech

The Famous Amys traveling band has an extra Amys in the house this weekend, as Chris’s mom flew in to visit us for a few days. And by Us I mean Taylor. Which means that our little princess has been performing for her Grandma nonstop since she got here. And yesterday we kept the spoilage going at the same rate, just a different location, by taking a daytrip up north to Beech Mountain to visit Chris’s cousin and her family. Where baby-T not only loved-up her extended cousins, but got her first tastes of Cool Whip and double-fudge brownies.

And she also tried to eat through their windows again. Because apparently they look like they might taste like ice cream.

And after wearing our little girl out completely, we drove back down the mountain to Asheville, with Chris, Sue and myself having to listen to Taylor snore the whole way home. I have to remark, once again, that it is such a treat to have family living so close to us now. Even if it is only part-time, having family instate makes-up for having the rest of our families so far away. Their kiddos are the sweetest, most genuine children I’ve ever been around. Not to mention super fun. It’s no wonder why Taylor was totally enamored of all of them, and if she grows up to be half as well-mannered and enjoyable as those kids, Chris and I will be lucky parents.
